The MCs in this book were pretty frustrating at times. They both had such walls up and there was a lot of miscommunication. I wondered at times if they were a good fit for each other. However, I'm glad I stuck it out because at the end, I came to believe they will be ok. This was a nice paranormal story - a little different from the typical wolf shifter story. There was no expectation of instant mates so these guys had to get to know each other and trust each other with some secrets. It was a slow build with them getting there. Also, the shifter - Dylan - was a lone wolf without a pack with no current alpha expectations. Again, a different twist to a shifter story. I also enjoyed the supporting characters in Dylan's family.
This author is becoming an auto buy for me. Off to read the second book in this series.
