I had a smile on my face through 3/4 of this book. What a great read! In this historical m/m we get Jem, a mischieveous, yet fun loving street imp, and Alan, an aristrocat recently returned from war with what we would call today PTSD. Jem's character jumped off the page. He was such an enjoyer of life despite his circumstances and exactly what Alan needed to pull him from his darkness. The mystery/suspense was also very well done and gave Jem and Alan an opportunity to fall in love. Great writing and realistic feeling characters. A really excellent historical that I highly recommend. This writing team has become an auto buy for me.
